Singularity now on steam

Singularity is a game that was not available on steam in the UK, but sometime in the last couple of days it has become available:

I know it's probably available cheaper elsewhere, but you can now keep an eye on it for sale prices.

Activision seemed to want this game to fail deliberately - limited retail release, not available in high street stores, and limited stock online, no UK Steam release until now.

The shame is it's a really good game. It's not staggeringly original or amazingly high-tech - it's a multiplatform game after all, but it didn't deserve to be deliberately killed off at retail.

I managed to get hold of a retail copy on release, and its so rare it's going for silly money on ebay.

Well no, i like to think of it as Timeshift with a makeover.

Was an enjoyable game, played it a few months ago when i was here last time and completed it. Had its flaws and its balance problems but still a good game. With any luck they'd put it up for 75% off and people will give it a look.

Was £17.95 last week on D2D for 1 day only though now gone back up to full price.

Needs to be £10 or less before I buy I can wait however long that is!!! It also has sneaky DRM apparently in that if you do not have a constant internet connection it lags & becomes unplayable!

I can't believe the way this game release was handled. It appeared in the Coming Soon section on Steam for a long time before release but then disappeared immediately after release in the UK. I was really looking forward to it but now I'm not really bothered, not for £20. Discount it to £10/12 then we're talking.

I'd hate to spend years developing a game only to have the publisher tank it through either incompetence or deliberate neglect.

I was ready to buy this day one last Summer but I have still not bought and probably never will. Why? FOV. There's no FOV fix that actually works and the default FOV is completely unplayable for me.

Well I've gone and bought it and I'm thoroughly enjoying it so far.

Its a cross between HL2 and Bioshock. Its never going to win any awards but its simple, fun and the story is decent.
