Has anyone else here played this? I bought it a few years ago, whenever it came out, completed it and that was that. However, I noticed it in my games the other day and realised I'd completely forgotten the story - so I recently completed it again and was amazed at how much of a brilliant game it was, truly excellent plot with fun (and scary in parts) gameplay.

The plot is actually one of the best storylines I have come across in a game, confusing towards the end and leaves you thinking about it for days after.

Excellent game, I suggest you try it if you haven't already.

I bought it when it first came out (retail) and really enjoyed it. Never quite finished it as i reinstalled windows. Can never be bothered to find the disk again but its a great game with a fantastic story line.

Also really enjoyed it. Reminded me a bit of Timeshift, only better. Best use of the unreal 3 engine as well to date imo for a FPS game.

Played it and enjoyed it quite a lot. I liked the combat, though some of the textures were very poor. Always thought it strange that a decent title like this never really got a look in.

Noticed quite a few people recently have mentioned how good this game was however i don't think it did that well critically? 6-7/10

I'll look into it :D

I looked it up on Metacritic when posting about it the other day and it actually averages above 75% on PC, PS3 and XB360 platforms. Not fantastic but certainly good enough to warrant a look in.

I got it for a couple of quid in Steam sales like 18 months ago I think, I would definitely recommend it to be people when on offer. Somehow it has ended up being £14.99 on Steam which is a bit of a joke as I'm sure it used to be £9.99. But hopefully discounted by 75% in summer sales so bide your time.

Someone above compared it with Timeshift and having played the two very close together I would agree they have some similarities and say Singularity is MUCH better. It also has a bit of a Bioshock feel in places with some of the audio diaries and retro videos.

It is the sort of game that never gets any mainstream publicity so relies on word of mouth to get people to try it. The only reason I got it was because it was dirt cheap in a sale and sounded vaguely interesting, it took me about a year before I actually got round to playing it. It's kinda weird, there are games from a similar era like, say, Prototype that are somehow much better known yet aren't as good.

i bought it aand played it a dew weeks after. It suffered badly from the sucking-in-the-middle syndrome if I remember correctly. But the beginning and ending were pretty good! I might play it again...

Played it on the Xbox a few years back, I really enjoyed it though. Didn't really do anything innovating, but the level design was pretty good, it had an interesting storyline and some good characters and a decent soundtrack too.

I got a Bioshock-meets-Fallout sort of vibe from it. I'll have to buy it at some point, was one of those games that I regretted only renting because I enjoyed it so much.

I played it right through without playing anything else which says a lot about how much I enjoyed it. Certainly worth a look for anyone who hasn't played it.

I enjoyed the game until I got to this seemingly unpassable section then I gave up.

I'll explain it...its this section with a big door that a monster is trying to knock down, then the monster knocks it down.

I can't kill the monster that comes out...its too hard.

One of my favourite games was Singularity. Whatever happened to Raven? IIRC they made the game and Activision published it. They should really make a Singularity 2, I'd definitely buy it.

It was an excellent game.

Up there with Vanquish as one of the most under appreciated games of all time.

The opening sequence to Vanquish is worth the money alone.

I got this in a sale and absolutely loved it! Definately creepy in all the right ways, especially when going through the old houses etc at the beginning, and there's always that undercurrent of creepy running through the entire game. As others have said, it's just a shame it never got the exposure it deserved.

How far through the game is that? Is it one of the boss fights?

Glad I'm not the only one who enjoyed this game by the way, I do hope they bring out a Singularity 2 as somebody here said.

The textures weren't too bad I didn't think - obviously not revolutionary graphics, but good for when it was brought out in my opinion.

Some of them looked good, but some imo were among the worst I've seen. Perhaps it was the contrast between the two that made it seem even more apparent.

One of the few games I've finished recently, thought the atmosphere was amazing. Played it through on easy though, there were bits that were just annoying on normal on a first playthrough. The possible endings annoyed me though:

The obvious thing to do was to go back in time and kill Demichev while the original you was carrying him, rather than killing yourself and so ensuring Demichev died in the fire. But for some reason the game wouldn't let you, it just kept looping back whenever you tried.
