Sorry to hear the old bugger has croaked it. I really enjoyed his work. Anyhow, does anyone remember that computer game that he starred in based on his 'Rama' novels? Anyone have a copy? There seem to be no clips of it at all on YouTube.

He handed over the sequel to Rendevous with Rama to Gentry Lee, who make a total arse of the sequel. Never quite forgave him for that ;)

Yes, you basically went around exploring Rama solving puzzles and interacting with digitised actors. The Biots were there, the Octospiders, too. I remember the worse bit was when a nuclear bomb or something had been activated and you had about 3 minutes of gameplay to find your way out of a maze of tunnels and get off Rama. Or was it 3 minutes to find the bomb and disarm it? I can't remember. It was 12 years ago.

More info on Wiki about the game. There is a clip on YouTube but it's in French and terrible sound quality.
