Siren and Temps Issue

PC is howling at me, like a police siren every now and then. I am thinking temperature issue but unsure.

Speed fan app is showing Temp 2 at 59c and core 0 at 45c, the rest are below 40c

Set up is 5 year old Intel Core TM I5 CPU [email protected] *GB ram. I have been around it with a hoover and all fans appear to be working fine, interestingly it has not crashed on me as yet.

Thoughts appreciated as to potential issue

Is it a Asus motherboard? They have (probably other brands as well) an alarm for cpu fan speed if it drops too low. Could it be something like that? If so you can either disable it or possibly set it to a lower speed before the alarm goes off.

Yep Asus mb I'll check speed etc

Currently 4 drives, 2 SSD and 2HDs I will try disconnecting the HDs one a t time and see what happens.

Thanks both

I have done a fresh de-dust of the existing fans etc and added another case fan and temps are all fine now. Also ran a check on the hard drives and they are showing as all good.

Also re-ran virus, malware checks and nothing.

Any other suggestions as to what is causing the siren to go off?

Thanks

EDIT: Just had a thought now checking all connectors to make its not those.

I have checked bios and that does not seem to be the issue, but good call thanks.

I decided to bite the bullet and check all connections on the Motherboard, now been running for the last 8 hours and not heard a dickey bird.

Mind if it was a connection issue then surprised nothing other than the siren going off happened, e.g BSOD, crashing etc.

I will run for the next day or so and if it happens again i will upload a audio file here for everyones' thoughts.

Thanks again for all the input.
