Sister's new Samsung Jet has a rainbow issue

See the middle of the screen? it's totally smooth and scratch/damage free but under direct lighting you can see a rainbow kind of effect which warps around as you move your view around:

With the screen on it's invisible however:

Is this a manufacture fault maybe or is it a common problem with these phones? it was ordered online so not as easy as pie to exchange

I can still see it in the second picture with the screen on! I would ask for a replacement as it doesnt seem 'normal' even if ordered online they should be able to sort it out for you!
