Sit/stand desk

You can get the motorised frame and desk surface separately. You can buy more solid surface such as a kitchen counter top (solid or laminate not the chipboard variety as otherwise you will have issues with screws)

Lookup Flexispot. For heavier loads you will want dual motor base and as pc-guy said, you can just get a frame and add you own choice of top.

As above Flexispot is worth a look I'm using a dual motor base E7 and bamboo top. 32" 4K monitor with glass stand + NR200P MAX system unit on top.

E7 Pro has some nice to have improvements but E7 is still good. Accessories can be bought cheaper from other popular online e-tailers.

I bought a Fully Jarvis and have been very happy with it. Quiet and smooth motors, very little wobble even at full height and none at all at a sitting height, and it was easy to put together. I went for the black frame with a 1200x800 bamboo top.

I paid £539 direct from Fully when they had a 20% sale on.

I've got a Flexispot as well and happy with it.

I think they're a bit of an odd company - they're constantly doing deals, so don't trust any of the prices, and they've offered me various incentives in exchange for reviews in the past. But my personal experience has been good.

I bought a motorised desk off Amazon and put my own oak slab on it. Very happy with the result.

My experience with Flexispot has been good too, I had an E7 for a few years and recently upgraded to an E7Q (4 leg) for extra stability, it's great. I believe their customer support is supposed to be quite bad though so if you're unlucky enough to get an issue then the experience might not be so positive.

Agree with the Flexispot recommendations. Dual motor and high load values. You can buy the frame cheap separately but oddly not from their own site (though still sold directly by their parent company via other marketplaces). I think I spent circa £150 for the frame and popped on an IKEA bekant tabletop. A nice piece of solid wood would have been nicer but I'm all about that value ;) I have 2 heavy monitors mounted on arms, my pc tower, usually about 4 laptops in a pile and countless other junk and it copes remarkably.

For those of you with the FlexiSpot, are you rocking the E7 or E7 pro? There seems to be a massive difference in cost (but I imagine in part to their shady pricing tactics lol).

I’d be interested in knowing if anyone is using the E7 Pro too. Trying to decide between it and the Fully Jarvis.
I understand you have reduced your options to two, but have you considered the MAIDeSITe sit/stand desk from Amazon? https://amzn.eu/d/gQoihDo

The 3 Stage dual motor unit is £290, there's a £30 voucher that'll knock that down too.

I've had this since December and can't fault it. It's smooth, quiet, accurate and solid. I fixed it to a length of solid oak worktop for my desk.

I don't understand what the Fully Jarvis has that justifies the price. The cheapest variant is expensive and doesn't have programmable heights or even cable management.

The E7 Pro doesn't interest me at all. The product listing has some odd statements in my opinion.

I appreciate the feedback, but Flexispot’s statements can’t be any more odd than those of that Chinese seller on Amazon:

Because when you are relieved from the traditional workspace and switch to a smarter and healthier active environment, you will find unlimited fun and benefits in it

I’m looking for a well supported product, something Flexispot has had trouble with in the past.

I trust Herman Miller implicitly. I’ve used their chairs over the past almost 20 years, and own two of them. The Fully brand must have aligned with their ethos for them to have purchased the company.

I also get a bit worried when a company has a million different options available. The amount of desks that Flexispot has is staggering. Why not just make 2-3 really great desks?

I get that. I felt the same, but Amazon's easy return policy allowed me to check the product for myself first. I didn't have much confidence based on the listing, but after inspecting it in person I'm very happy with it. It's been great.

Your approach is understandable and no doubt you'll get a decent product from Herman Miller, you'll just have to pay the brand tax for it.

Glad I saw this thread, a number of options for a replacement desk which I had never found or heard of :)

Still rocking an old IKEA "manual" standing desk and showing some wear and tear now so will do some reading.

I have the flexispot ef1. Single motor 70kg max load. I have my pc, 2x 27" monitors, mouse, keyboard, speakers and a few ornamental skulls on it. Total weight is 35kg. With my arms resting on the desk another 5-10kg as my arm rests are adjusted to take most of the weight. It is by far the biggest and chunkiest desk i have owned at 160x80cm. worth it £180 on offer at the time :)

I've had a Maidsite T2pro for the past 4 years almost to the day, still rocking it, no problems with the motors.
Have 2x Huawei 28" 3840x2560 monitors sat on it, couple of laptops and the usual dross, smooth as anything. Bought the base and slapped a kitchen worktop on it then later got a 140x80 official top instead as needed the extra depth.

I just got my first one the other day, loving it so far. Managed to find a basically new FlexiSpot E7 and 160x80 worktop with the Ergo chair for £140 off facebook marketplace. I was just using some silly kitchen table before. This is so much nicer to work at! Still have to do some cable management but I love it.
