Site displaying differently in 3 different browsers

Hi, a friend has asked me to help them with their website, but it is displaying differently in Opera, Firefox and IE, can anyone see a way to make it work properly on all three? (The way it appears in Opera is the way it's meant to look)
The problem is with the phone number image at the bottom right.

The problem seems to be a float image, which seems to be rendered adequately in IE6, but in FF it's not right.

IMO you should make a footer div and then put stuff inside that.

btw those w3c things are from the ark these days. better to remove them .. that will tidy things up a bit.
