can anyone recommend a good domain hosting company
im looking to register a site and have them host it too
been looking at 1 and 1, just need to know who else offers a good service and a range of services

This should be in 'HTML, Graphics & Programming'. But 123-reg or namecheap.com for domains, tsohost.co.uk/vidahost.com/vooservers.com for hosting.

Namecheap for domains, they seem to propagate immediately.

I would say stay away from 1and1, they're a nightmare since they keep ownership of the domain and you have to use it as a forwarder.

I've used Vidahost for several years now and while I don't tend to do much with the domain itself it seems to be very reliable and they always respond to queries quickly as well as keep me informed of any scheduled maintenance etc.

TSOhost or Vidahost for your hosting needs.

No preference on either, used both, I just listed them alphabetically

Both will also register domains, but I think it better to keep that separate, and have been using Namecheap for years. Like yhack said, any new domains I've purchased from them seem to propagate almost before I've had a chance to enter my payment details!!

I buy all my domains and hosting in UK from Webhosting UK no problem at all from last 3 years. Good support and fast speed server has helped me grow.

I use godaddy.com for all my domain purchases and I have just moved from dreamhost.com (US) to 123easyhosting.co.uk for an unlimited account (domains, web space and bandwidth) at £3.99 per month. Looks good.
