Someone posted a link to a site that showed how various WUs ran on different CPU cores and speeds etc.

I can't find it.

Anyone? :p

Nope not that :p

It has menu's where you can select your core type etc. and then it shows graphs of data compiled from those about what sort of speeds all the WUs go at (in PPD).

You're very welcome gents. I remembered it because my good friend held the all-time PPD record for a few months there with 450 PPD per GHz from a 364 pointer running on a 2.13 GHz PM at stock speeds.

Semi-off topic, but I never saw why PPD/Ghz is used as a universal benchmark on these sites. Some types of CPU do more work per Ghz than others, others run at higher clock speeds to compensate. A chip with a higher PPD/Ghz is more efficient, but not necessarily better for Folding or anything else...

I think it's the only real way you can compare like for like - it's not much use for comparing completely different architectures.
By dividing the results by the clock speed you normalise them, ending up with many more results for a particular group of chips rather than focussing more on individual setups.

At least I think that's the idea anyway :p
