(Mods I apologise if this sort of thing is not allowed here, please delete if so)

As some of you may have read in another thread, I'm currently planning a conversion of the PS3s sixaxis electronics/controls into a 360 controller casing.
While waiting on some parts I'm playing around with other ideas, looking for ways to make things fit easier etc etc when I noticed that the sixaxis' battery is infact a very common type and has a mediocre mAh rating. Its a 3.7v 610mAh Lithium Ion battery, almost identical size to those found in the majority of nokia mobile phones; they too are mostly 3.7v, yet the typical model is 900mAh.
For anyone with the most basic soldering skills, the battery is easily swapped for these longer-life models. The nokia battery I had to hand was a BL-5C, found in a nokia 6230, available from the usual aution site for £3, or your local mobile phone shop...
I've tested (including charging via USB), works just fine. £3 for 150% battery life is a bargain!
Self-explanatory pics below....

EDIT: Sorry had to remove pics as my bandwidth limit was hit pretty damn quickly :(

I thought this would be straightforward enough :) As I mentioned in another thread I honestly don't think it'll be too long before replacement rear parts of the controller casing are available with the option to have replaceable battery packs.

You prefer the ps3 controller layout to the 360s?

In other, no doubt already posted in another thread news, the 360 controller's getting tilt ability! Link

EDIT: Have I misread and you're wanting to put the ps3 controls in an xbox controller?

Keep us updated on the case swap with pics if possible - I would be very interested to see how it's done etc ;)
