Happy Sunday

i currently have this ram in my pc

Corsair 2GB PC2-6400 C5 XMS2 DHX (2x1GB)

was thinking about adding this

Corsair 4GB PC2-6400 C5 DHX (2x2GB)

i know its recommended you don't combine different brands of memory as some mobos are fussy but what about size? the above is what i want to add

before i purchase just wanted to find out if there would be any complications?

To be able to utilise all that RAM you need a 64bit OS. These days memory mixing isn't that big a deal like it used to be you will most likely have a smooth running system just remember to set the timings to the slowest pair of memory.

The most common issue is when you fully populate the dimm slots on the mobo it sometimes gets unstable specially if you OC the rig.

sorry i forgot to mention im using 64 bit os will this setup be possible
