got a second hand one of these of a guy who promised 2 high heaven that the unit never had been overclocked, he showed me over webcam that the thing booted up to the POST screen then sent it to me.

Now ive recieved it ive never made a pc before in my life, chucked the cpu ram in, unit powers up for a second then turns off, i carried on adding bits thinking oh must need the HDD. same thing happens, i remove the CMOS battery, still same prob.

So have i been had 4 a muppet, or is it my stupid pc knowledge

nope ive checked, had the whole unit out, seperated everything, cleared the BIOS jumper, took the battery out, checked the PSU, all components should work, imo the mobo BIOS chip is shot and he did overclock it, little fool.
