Anyone still play the SKATE games on Xbox or Playstation?

They pretty much revolutionized the skating game genre for me. Hardcore mode really stuck out as you had to land you tricks perfectly. No "oh you're near a ledge/rail let me put you on there" business.

You had to land on it spot on, and any little error could send you flying. Huge open world maps, barely any loading times etc, it is great fun.

Recently bought SKATE and SKATE 3 for PS3 and going through the 1st one again.

I loved the first one, the following games didn't really grab me.

As an ex skater, I'd like to see a next gen game of SKATE, it seems every few months I read an article asking EA to make another one.

The demand seems to be there, why don't they make it?

There apparently was Skate 4 on an Aus site but it got pulled down, can't seem to find much info about it. There's pretty high demand for one yeah.

Ex skater as well, not great..

@BoWCNM We love the passion our players feel for the Skate franchise. A new game is not in development, but we appreciate your feedback.

From 11th May 2016.

I've still got Skate 3 for the 360, need to load it up again as I know I still have things to do and it was so much fun. Easily better than the Tony Hawk games, by some distance too (even though TH2 was amazing).

I've been painstakingly waiting for the SKATE games to be released on PSNow but EA haven't licensed them it seems. Bah

It's bonkers in my opinion, especially after they had to print new discs after demand jumped due to a PewDiePie review

There was a period where every comment on the EA Games Instagram account just read "Skate 4", but they appear determined not to make one

The concept was so revolutionary after maybe 8 THPS games, the last few which were barely about skateboarding. I used to skate myself so Skate was the skating game I always wanted. I think you had to be a skater truely 'get it' and play with any style or character, rather than just 'score points' and that was fine by me!

I got Skate 3 for £3 in an xbox digital sale of some kind. Pretty good, considering it's over a tenner even now pre owned.

to be honest there isn't much they can do to improve it- the winning formula of the analogue control is there and has been since SKATE 2, all they can do is add extra padding, faffing around and fat to get in the way, and that isn't going to improve anything. What would you actually want from Skate 4 that isn't in Skate 2?

I would love to see another one :( Are they on backwards compatibility yet?

I'd be happy with the same gameplay but with a new map tbh!

It's the one game I want on my PS4. A updated version of Skate 2 with a healthy fps boost would be amazing. They all suffered from terrible frame rates at times.

Anyone remember the 360/lazer flip challenge in downtown on SKATE 1? a blackbox challenge I believe. That drove me NUTS trying to complete! You had to 360 flip to a nosegrind or something..

Yep, I played it on PS3. Infact the demo was the sole reason I bought a PS3 at silly prices.

I put many many hours into the demo, 1,2 & 3. Miss them, I keep toying with the idea of buying a PS3 or 360 again just to play the second one.

I remember the many people moaning about it :D

The demo for the original is one of my most played demos. I remember waiting for it to come out and then just playing it for weeks.
