skate - ps3

Hey, im going to get some new ps3 games today as ive pretty much completed all mine, so far i think im going to get

Burnout paradise
Uncharted
..and one other, im thinking about skate over DMC4/the club

I have played the demo of skate and thought it was ok, but whats it like as the full game?

Do you get used to the different way of playing the game compared to the classic tony hawk ones, i.e do you get used to the camera always on the skateboard etc?

It is absolutely brilliant. Yes you get used to everything, and once you do it feels like second nature. If you can get the 360 version as the PS3 port is quite poor.

I've heard the ps3 version of skate suffers from laggy framerates or something

anyhoo the games great and I found it easy to pick up the controls after a while

I think it's great, and my brother plays it all the time.
After playing skate then I kept trying to use the sticks for the tony hawk demo and it felt crap compared to skate.

You also get online play in the full game where you can play SKATE, Jam(competition), spot battle, best trick, death race and more which i cant remember. I found that when I tried to play with my mate then it kept disconnecting for both of us

There are a few frame rate issues but theyre rare! Ive noticed it only a few times and I use to play it religiously. Id defiantly get it if you havent played it before as for me it was last years goty!

the demo was awful, i dont know if the full game plays any better.

Not really only noticed it a handful of times and I played it 24/7 for about 3 months! Yea its not the best port at all but its still worth buying.

I only have a ps3 and its my most played game. I got it on import from us when it first came out.. Tbh the framerate is horrible at times

and Nanoman must be blind lol.. But it aint put me or my best mate off.. Both of us have it on ps3 and have put many many hours in. You get used to it lol.

Im not talking about the occasional 1 fps drop which is only noticable if youre angry with the world, im talking about framerate issues that actually affect gameplay! Its not enough for me to not want to play the game at all!

No body has said it isnt playable lol. It is and i do all the time. But it still suffers from the framerate drops. It made a nolie 360 flip to ledge very hard for me at one point. But if you have no 360 then id have to say its still a must have tbh.
