Hi guys, just wondering if anyone else has seen the little bit of gameplay footage on MTV's Rob and Big show of EA's SKATE?

I must say i was throughly impressed with it, looks so fluid, so much more realistic, and looks like no chance of multi million combo's. Hopefully it will turn out to be as good as it looks, and it will kick neversoft into gear to try something different now they have competition.

Take a look, quite short and mainly shows the guys playing it, but you get the idea.

yeah ive always wanted a realistic skate game, project 8 is really good fun, but as an ex skater you know most of it is complete balls

whens the release date for this?

exactly the same for me i have been waiting since the second tony hawks for a realistic skating game and i think the next gen consoles can deliver that just watching that video when he kickflips up on to the 'sodewalk' and doesnt go a million miles in the air makes me think this could be really good.

The release date hasnt been set only that it will be 2007 i just hope that it wont be too late in 2007 i can't wait for this and i have only seen about 10 seconds of gameplay!

Tony hawks is fun but i find on project 8 a lot of the time im just rolling around looking for realistic spots and going into slow mo and just doing normal tricks!

That looks really good...now if they could do the same for a Rollerblading game I would be a REALLY happy bunny.

WOW! that looks awesome, like the rest of you, been waiting for a realistic skating game for so long. TH is fun, but this looks like it could be much more rewarding.

I agree with everyone and have been waiting for a realistic skate game since THPS 2 came out. Wondering whether pre-ordering a Wii was a good idea now if its only going to be for the 360 and PS3

glad its not only me that thinks Tony hawk 2 was the best skate game so far.... although thrasher was a good attempt, anyone play that

put THPS2 into realistic mode, and skate sensibly, and its pure class

woah that game looks awesome. like what people have already said looks sooo much more realistic that any of the tony hawks, although i do enjoy lowering the stats to 1 and then playin much more fun

couldn't agree more, THPS2 is for sure my favorite skating game,

Love thrasher still play it now. Wish they bought out a thrasher 2.

did some digging around and came up with this link to some screens.

Also at the end of the writing it says due spring 07, we can only hope they are right!
