This game looks utterly awesome. I've always wanted a realistic/semi realistic skateboarding game, unlike Tony Hawks where you can do 1080 triple kickflip cctwist backflip manual nosegrind 360 flip bluntslide nose manual...etc with relative ease.

Apparently the demo is coming to live on the 15th, I can't wait! The control system looks awesome too, and it is such that it will be difficult to pull off difficult tricks and combos, again unlike Tony Hawks.

And the bails/falls look incredibly realistic too!

Gief gief gief!

Well I used to skateboard myself back in my teenage years, so that's part of why I am so attracted to this game.

I skated every day for about 5 years, I got pretty good. Watching the videos for this game made me want to go out and start skating again.

I've been looking forward to this for ages as well.

My main worry is the control system, flip tricks and grab tricks both sound awesome but they haven't really announced how other stuff will be done. Grinds you'll have to land on the rail correctly but is there grind balance? and what about stalls and inverts?

I can't wait for the demo, this is one of my most anticipated titles this year, due early in september i think.

will have to wait and see , or maybe just research the game a bit more as i know little about it

this looks less fun than tonyhawks games too me though
remembering the controls for tricks will be like the statistical nightmare of remembering the buttons for moves on beat em ups

the ps3 tilt sensor would actually be good for manuals mind !

I was really excited about this but the latest videos have let me down slightly. I am so used to games being a dissapointed now that I have got little hope for this, which is probably a good thing. Because if it is good it will blow me away :)

Im really looking forward to it. From what ive say on videos its looking really good, and like the original poster said it seems a lot more realistic that the Tony Hawks games, which I still enjoy but usually leave my stats very low so I land tricks more realistically.

Heh, that's what I used to do :D

TH3 is the best imo, P8 was getting back on track but had some very annoying issues to it.

Skate looks interesting I just hope the controls feel good but not borked if that makes sense, good if they nail it down right.
I'm still waiting on one of these games to have a mega online skate park that you can just log into and meet loads of other skaters, imagine sonys Home mixed with skating.

I personally do not think a realistic game automatically equals a funner game.

I enjoyed pulling insane tricks on tony hawks. I enjoyed pulling off all of the ridiculous moves on the Marval vs Capcom games.

The jury is still out for me on this one.

I really liked Project 8 though, was my most played game when I got my 360 in Dec 06. Looking forward to Proving Ground and if Skate plays well then that will definately be another I pick up. Skateboarding games are wicked.

nope, defintely american wasteland, what a pile of ***, closely followed by underground 2.

American Wasteland, IMO is a lot better than any of the THUG series and Project 8 or Tony Hawks 2. I really enjoyed it.

Does anyone else find that project 8s chronic slowdown is worse when logged into live? by that I mean playing single player but the dash is logged into live.

It has stopped me actually finishing the game which I was enjoying.

 NokkonWud
