Skiing/Boarding 13-14

i'm booked for alpe d'heuz, chamonix and three weeks in courchevel

apparently i might have to go to tignes too in order to refresh my basi certification to fall in line with yet another french law change preventing me from teaching....

I love French laws :p When you're in Courcheval you'll have to say hey to my good friend Alice, as she's there again this season. If I can remember where she's working this year.

I'm popping up to the mountains this weekend. My mother is over at their place, so thought we'd stop by. May as well drop off our skis and want to check the kids ski boots still fit too.

I'd love to do my BASI, just to say I had, what's it like to do?

alice beer?

basi is reasonably easy but I've got a lot of ski seasons under my belt, the french course times are the hardest, that takes a lot training to get the right times, apart from that its just shadowing and teaching, good money for you once you have it :)

Just booked my La Plagne week for 1st February. Accommodation, transfers and flights for £275 :D There's 6 of us going so it should be mega. Got my new park board so can't wait to test it out.

7 weeks till my Arabba trip too.

Now, where to go in January?!

off to chill factore tomorrow evening with some mates.

they have one of those Air bags for doing tricks into.

backflip time :D

I'm looking at the moment, wouldn't mind getting out to Alpe d'Huez for the first week in Jan, but need to have a proper look around. A couple of the people I usually go with are not committing to anything yet, so might be going solo or try and get in with a group or something.

Anyone have any board opinions?
Looking at the Ride buckwild or the Lib skate banana.
Doing jumps and stuff already so my Salomon eBay pro model is failing me a little, plus its too long for freestyle.

Opinions welcome.

Both look to be pretty good boards for park, if money was no limit then I would lean towards the Lib Tech.

Have a look at the Capita Horrorscope, Capita Outdoor Living, Capita Ultrafear, Stepchild Jibstick, Never Summer Evo or Nitro Rook. Models depends on if you want just a pure park board or something that is mainly park but can handle some all mountain.

Does anyone have any experiance of UCPA, my friends are not so interested in going so was thinking about booking a trip for myself.

Also has anyone skiied in Norway (near Oslo) as I am based in Gothenburg with work Mon-thurs so was thinking of planning a few weekend trips as apparently there is a bus service from Gothenburg to the resorts.
