Just looking for a few tid bits of information here really.

a few in our office are going/ been skiing so far this year and 1 guy is taking a caravan upto the ski resort of Glenshee in Scotland.

now i have never ski'd before and this place is a 6hour drive, im thinking my father and myself could bob up there on a friday night get some accomodation an get a hour or 2 lessons instructions then just go and have a good weekend away.

Has anyone else just gone for a few days an had a laugh or am i planning too much?
any pointers would be great if people have been before or are regular ski'ers

ive checked the prices of it all and its not too bad
lift = £13 per day for begineers
skis boots poles = £28 2days
Suit hire = £18 2days
Insturctions for 90mins 1=£15 / 2 = £27 / 3 = £39
+ Diesel for the trip

you guys tend to put people off :(

im just wanting to go learn the basics for 2 days an have a laugh with my dad i dont want massive off piste runs or some super fast runs i just want to go have a laugh an stay up long enough to turn and slow down on my own.

after checking the dry ski slopes (sheffield) its very expensive for just 1hours lession

this would be good to spend time with my dad and do something ive always wanted to do.
