Heya everyone. I am having some problems with sound now that i have my new CA Azur 540R.

Basically i am using on-board sound (Realtek ALC883) and outputting to the receiver via a coaxial digital connection. Everything in stereo plays fine, however, when i try and use the DD stream on a DVD i get really jumpy playback which skips about half a second, every second.
The Receiver is correctly identifying the input as a DD stream, it just isn't playing back correctly.

This is using VLC VideoLan media player. I can't get ANY DD output in media player 11 and the only versions of WinDVD i have are 2 channel only.

Can anyone help?

I think I know what the problem is, try shutting down DirecX audio in VLC. Open up Preferences and choose Advanced options then select Audio then Output modules, from the pull down menu choose "Win32 WavOutput extension output" then press Save and close VLC. When you restart VLC everything should be fine.
