Skoda Superb replacement?

My 65 plate SEL Exec 190 diesel hatch has 81K miles after a (near) year of heavy commuting has added 18K miles. Looking at changing it.

Thinking of a 320d touring with auto box, around 2016 MY. Issues/thoughts? No longer commuting as can walk to work but need a tug for my caravan (MTPLM 1375 Kg). Is ED the one to go for/avoid? Is the auto box a semi-auto? Must have options and spec?

I am looking for something smaller than the Superb and must be auto. Must be able to capably tow my van. Need not be diesel, not restricted to 2.0L. No older than 2016. Budget is £20K.

Still looking. Still thinking 3 series touring. Must be auto and probably a 320 xdrive. Wondering if it could be petrol? I’ve only ever towed with a diesel in the 29 years since I passed my test! Are petrols ok at towing?

I reckon my annual mileage has dropped from 20K to less than 5K. Towing is the odd weekend/holiday in Devon/Cornwall (I now live in Devon).
