Skoda Superb to buy or not?.

Every time I have googled Skoda 2.0 PDF engines this forum pops up with people more knowledgeable than I, so I thought I'd join. The car in question is a Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI CR DPF SE with 75k miles and is a 2010(60) plate.
My concern is that I have heard horror stories about the DPF engines and I was wondering if this particular 2010 engine has the same issues, also is there potential drive pump issues. The car is only £5k and the plan is to put 20K miles a year on it for 3 years and then ditch it.
The car is everything I need but I'm worried about reliability, thanks in advance.

The Cr engines were designed around the dpf in mind. Unlike the ppd engines which were plagued with issues. Especially those with the 170 siemens ECU.

Reliability wise I don't think you should have many problems. As long as it used on a motorway occasionally to get the dpf working it should be good.

You'll always read the bad on the net before the good.

Cheers Vita, nice to get advice from a human instead of me googling all day.
The Superb it is.

It's ok. I'm not sure about the drive pump issues though I will say ask for a second opinion on briskoda you may get some more insight on there.

I once sat in one for a taxi service and it's a good car, owner had no issues with his apart from usual wear and tear items.

I had a 60 plate 2.0 superb for 3 years and 56000 miles

It did have a weird jerk sometimes in regen but otherwise faultless and a very nice car.

Initially I though it was very weird looking but as it was a company car beggars can’t be choosers, anyhow in the end I loved it the space it offers is tremendous

Thanks for the reply, agreed that it looks odd. The huge amount of leg room and boot space is why I'm buying it.
Think I'll view it tomorrow morning as £5k is IMHO a pretty good deal, cheers.
