Skt 478 Core 2 Duo and 945GT chipset. Whats all this about??

Ive been looking at this mATX board from Abit which is the above spec.

Its a new board for the desktop, supporting this viiv technogly etc but what are these 478 core 2 duo processors like? Think i saw somewhere they are mobile processors and are what 775 core 2 duo are based on? Is this right?

Anybody know where thier is some benchs for these processors/chipset it would be ideal for htpc if thier similar to 775 core 2 duo in performance terms(obviously not as quick but compared to the mobile market i mean).

P.S ive searched but ofcourse all get is skt775, core 2 duo references etc And this is in cpu coz its cpu benchs/performance im more interested in

Core Duo's bud. Laptop cpu's

They have 478 pins but are designated Socket 480 as the pin config differs to P4 478. Clock for clock they are a tad slower than core 2 duo's. Honestly, I'd just wait for mATX Core 2 Duo 775 boards to surface.
