Skt 939 heatsink on skt AM2 Cpu?

Hi,
Will a regular fitting 939 heatsink fit on an AM2 cpu?
I want to use the same kind of heatsink that I use now on the new board when I get it.
I never use any heatsinks that you fix to the motherboard it's self, only the kind where you hook the one side(3 holes)over and the other side has the one or three holes and a lever.
Will those kind fit ok?

Yes it will be fine. Just fasten it using the middle lug instead of all 3

That's what I thought but as to fixing it only the middle lug each side, seein that there are no other lugs other than one each side (frame around CPU)then how could anyone fix anywhere else?

Yes both 939 and AM2 are same heatsink --- 939 has 3 clip as AM2 is 1 each side, you can use same heatsink from 939 to AM2 very easily, I used Venus 12 on old FX-55 (939) and im now AM2 with Athlon 64 X2 6000+ that prefer as much cooler.
