Evenin all

Been with demon now nearly 4 years and up until 4 months ago had no probs.Lately been experiencing poor connection speeds, web pages taking ages too load etc.I've rung their tech line and got different answers from all who answer.Having now looked around i've realised £24.99 a month is quite expensive for a 4m connection.I've looked at sky for the x3 package for bb/tv/phone and it looked very good. After ringing them they said i can't have the unlimited servce due to my area being full, and only the 40g was available. We have 2 in my house who play wow/cs etc each evening and sky tell me playing games online is downloading?

anyone tell me if they use the 40g service and had any problems?

Many thanks

I've been using the sky 8Mbps service form a month now, and it's been perfect. I was with Virgin, but we moved to a new build house that hasn't been cabled, so couldn't stay with Virgin. I'm getting nearly 7Mbps download for a fiver a month, compared to 4Mbps with Virgin for £25 a month. the download limit hasn't affected us, and we have 3 pcs, 3 xbox 360's and a wii.

Thanks for info..

Does playing games online had to download usage?
Also, i have at the moment, a static ip address. Is this important? would having anything different be a problem?
I use the net for surfing/games/few emails/a little music downloads.
The online line games adds up to approximately 5 hours per day x 2.Would the fact that theres two of us playing games double our usage?

Thanks again

by your post i think its the £17 8mb your getting correct?
if so you need to watch your usage because if you go over the 40gb youll get 2 warning letters and then get cut off for the rest of the month/next month(im not too sure on that one).
i was going to switch to that from my current £29.99 AOL 8mb(unlimited downloads) service so i checked on the phone(already a sky digital tv customer) and when aol heard the words "i want to cancel" they immediately dropped the price by £5,better in my pocket than theirs
