Sky's DNS server appears to be on the blink.
I haven't been able to use the Internet since yesterday morning.
I know it's their DNS server because I can view front pages of websites and the whole of OcUK forums via IP address - 83.245.33.200 for OcUK.
The Sky DNS server is locked into the Netgear 834GT router, so I cannot change it
Is there anyway I can get around this other than for Sky to pull their finger out?
I know their are ways around this, but as I cannot view many websites, it's hard to find a fix.
Help muchos appreciated. :)

Instead of adding these DNS servers into your TCP/IP settings can I just add them as custom DNS servers on my Sky Router so that ALL connected devices benefit from the OpenDNS servers ?

Sky router does not allow you to use custom DNS! - looks like IPV4 custom DNS it is!

Don't quote me on this but I think you can flash the Sky's router firmware to the standard Netgear one, which should allow you to change the DNS settings.

The latest firmware on netgear site is older than the Sky firmware due to the SKy one being modified and updated by Sky so the router does not update as the firmware off Netgear is older :/
