Sky are really getting on my nerves changing me back to adsl2+, a while ago they forced me over to adsl2 from G.dmt and stated it was better than my current connection due to speed. I had a slight argument stating a few facts to the CS person about unstable lines and higher frequencies and eventually I got put back on G.dmt, same has happened tonight but I'm going through the same rubbish again.

What is the best way to tackle these fools here! ah well at 9am I will be asking for my 8mbps profile on G.dmt with max delay at 8 again see what the idiots say..

oh yeah they said how did U know you are on adsl2... I said my line attenuation is now 43 instead of 39, they said well you have better speed grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Call up and say you want to speak to the customer solutions team (aka tier 2 support) about an existing problem. This'll get you through to someone that can differentiate between a microfilter and a microwave.

I had the direct number saved for when I had this exact problem. In the end I used my own router and forced G.Dmt mode and left it at that :o

Can you not just set the modem/router to only negotiate a g.dmt connection rather than having it set to multimode.

nah coz the max delay will still be at 16 not 8 & it is virtual G.dmt not on a port, its funny as they want to investigate why adsl2+ is no good on my line. They can do what they want as long as I can have a 30ish ping in games, oh and I'm using their silly router as it was giving me a stable sync unlike my netgear when I forced it.

Nothing wrong with truly unlimted BT wholesale providers. You can force ADSL1 mode on the route and request fastpath.
