Hi All I, have been reading that Sky BB is totally unlimited with no fair user policy or traffic management ,can anyone tell me if this is true ? also will there new fibre service due in April also have no fair user policy etc ??
I had the 20mb for 2 years and downloaded the **** out of it, no throttling or speed decreases whatsoever.
How many threads do you need?
Sky Unlimited is truly unlimited and doesn't have an FUP. Sky Fibre will be the same.
oh and was it any good and why did you leave sky ?
BE is better, I went there as they explicitly claim no throttle/packet shaping or FUP and I thrash the living daylights out of it with no comeback. Utorrent says a total of 100GB in the last 31 days, then on top of that using it for work, iplayer, phones etc etc and not a squeak from them.
I see the problem with Sky being that whilst they say there's no FUP now, thats not their reason for being, they're primarily cheap and multi service (ie phone, tv etc etc) whereas BE is pretty much set up as a no questions asked, fast, hassle free broadband service.
god knows, more importantly who cares I get 15mb anyway? Fibre is growing but not as fast as your threadcount!
