Sky BB Question
I recently joined Sky for the LLU service as I moved home and it was available in my area, I set up the order online due to the recent offers for half price etc
Order went thought fine on, picked a set up date which was 28th of may, but then got a phone call saying my order didn’t complete correct and now the date had to be 7th of June due to that date being booked, the customer service person said that my card failed which is BS due to the fact that it was though the Visa secure protection page perfectly fine and showed on my statement, he processed the order and doubled checked everything and processed it again for the 7th of june
I already have a Phone line is my home, I did ring BT a few weeks ago to ask them to check if it was active or disconnected, and got told its been disconnected and can easily be connected again
On the Sky website it says
(Also on a side note I rang BT to see what offers I could get and got offered BB(speeds up to 8meg)/Talk and got told all of it could be set up within 5 days, compared to the 3weeks what I got offered from SKY
If it can be done remotely why would it take almost 3 weeks to get it active after I placed my order?

You may not need an engineer if there's already an inactive phone line and socket at your address, or you're transferring your phone service from an unbundled provider.
We'll confirm when you place your Talk order if an engineer will need to visit your home to install a new line, or if we can turn on/switch the phone line remotely.
