Sky BB Speed

Just fitted some TP link AV200s
and the speed test shows this:

I have sky unlimited broadband and the test was done whilst my son
was playing BF4 on his PC upstairs.
Does this seem slow ?

How fast is the connection supposed to be, and what do you see if you test with a wired connection?

Try it with a cable, and no-one else using the connection.

Can't advise on anything else unless we get some router stats and know how far you are from the exchange.

Go to 192.168.0.1 in a web browser and take a look at the diagnostic information then show statistics.

I was wanted to check it out after reading that someone was getting 200mbps.
I am getting 5% of that !

200Mbps is the maximum speed of the homeplugs. Your internet connection is only 13Mbps. Guess which one is the limiting factor?

You'll get around 100Mbps on your internal network for transferring files etc - limited by the 100Mbps ports on your Sky router.

ADSL line speeds drop with distance. I'm 300m from the exchange and get 22MB, you will get less being further away.

Google ADSL2+ speed graph or ADSL2+ line speed calculator. You can feed in some of the numbers above and it will give a theoretical maximum, you'll get a bit less as no line is perfect.
