Sky Broadband is great for gaming on my end, pings are a bit higher than on Virgin Media though.

I used to get 15-30, now I get ~50-65 on the same servers. No difference that though really.

it's great.

i transferred to Sky BB last wednesday and it's been rock solid.

Similarly to the above i'm gettting slightly higher pings of around 30 rather than the 12 - 18 I was getting on plusnet but my download speed has gone from 6.5 mbps to 11.1mbps - regularly get downloads of 1.5MB PS.

all for £12 a month less.

cheers,

Nope, I don't notice lag until it hits the 75-100ms mark for some reason but I am not exactly king of FPS games anyway so I'm not super-sensitive to ping. :)

PS If you sent it to my Blueyonder email I won't get it, I'll check my Sky one as soon as I can.

WHat kinda of usage caps, throttling, fair usage policy do they have? I am looking for a new ISP atm

No caps or throttling, at least on the 16Mbit Max package, but they do have a fair usage policy.

From what I've read though it's one of those harmless ones that only comes into play if they get a letter from some company's solicitors about you downloading illegal stuff.

What is 'fair use though'?
AOL sent me a letter saying i exceded their fair use policy of 60 Gig a month for the past few months, so wanting to go somewhere else

The sky username and password is locked into their router and they don't tell you it.
There is a tool which you can use to get the details from the router, you can then use them on any router. :)
