After supposedly getting a working mac code from BT(might be second time lucky)

I've used BT's landline order checker to see this:

Order reference xxxxxxxx
Placed 10 Apr 2008
Description CHANGE
Appointment No date yet
Date due 22 Apr 2008
Status In progress
Last update 20 Apr 2008
Notes Your order is in progress.

Description Product name Quantity Cost Rental
PROVIDE LLU LINE SHARE PSTN 1 £ 0.0 £ 0.0
PROVIDE PROVIDE SMPF - SMPF EXISTS 1 £ 0.0 £ 0.0

This all means nothing to me, but the appointment date means what?

But does any of this mean I could be on Sky tomorrow? Ditching BT Broadband?

------

And Sky's order tracker says:

Broadband Mid Your order is progressing fine, but we've had a huge response to Sky Broadband, so you may need to wait up to three working days from your estimated activation date before you can start surfing with Sky Broadband. The estimated date is: 22/04/2008

But I've been reading other peoples horror stories, I don't want to be on BT a day longer than tomorrow, what can I do if I still am?

Thanks.

I just heard that the transition from BT to Sky can't always go smooth.

I hope for me it does. As i've had enough setbacks already with false mac codes from BT and then then bombarding me with questions and slating Sky as an ISP. When they aren't exactly angels.

Well I've been on it for almost two weeks now, so far so good, its sickeningly fast, had the odd drop in connection here and there but I guess with the line training it's to be expected?

Sat here right now connected at 7.2mb but get around 6mb in speedtests.

Bt would sync at 4.99mb and only run at 3mb on a good day.

Good riddance I say.
