Sky Boradband issue - Asking for user/pass.

Hi guys,

Having an issue with my laptop, I've connected it to my wireless router, and the laptop has detected the router and says it's all connected etc.

When I load an internet page, a box comes up asking me for a user name and password and just says 'DSL Router'. Obviously I've tried inputting the SSID and network code but it just wont accept it.

Any one ever had issues like this before, and found out a way to solve it?

That sounds like your router's web interface. The username and password should be whatever you need for that.

Thanks for the reply. I did think this my self and all the routers I've come across are usually 'Admin/Admin' or as this is a sky router 'Sky/Admin' but I've tried a lot of variations and just can't seem to get it at all.

The password worked, cheers. But, it still says connected and 'local only'. Maybe I should get on to Sky and ask them if theres a technical problem somewhere.

There might be an internet connection problem your end, as Sky routers are automatically configured to work out of the box without any messing about at all i.e. setting up the security & setting up the internet connection, give them a ring & explain your problem.
