Hi all,
Was looking at the sky bb and phone packages and they seem to be really cheap compered to BT (as they include line rental)
The general responce on this forum is that they are pretty good for normal use but i have a few additional queries

I was wondering how it was for downloading, i share a lot of data between home and work so am a heavy downloader, moderate uploader so would need a unlimited packaged

Most of the stuff is done via FTP, SSL and SSH so traffic shaping of torrents is not an issue for me (but would be nice to know if there was any so i can get my weekly Bleach fix off dattebayo)

I also game a lot so pings are important

Thanks in advance

On Sky BB LLU No traffic shapping and no limits whatsoever not even a fup on the MAX package. Sounds right up your ally. :)

Once you get the service pings are generally fine but if required you can have them config the line and reduce the max delays which will reduce your ping.

I always thought there was a FUP but you speaketh the truth:

"Our Base product allows 2GB of downloads per month, Mid and Connect offer 40GB, and Max is unlimited, (No Fair Use Polciy). Do not worry if you exceed your allowance, we will not cut you off or charge you extra. If you regularly exceed your limit, we will suggest you upgrade to a product more suited to your online needs."

Looks like you are laughing then :)

thanks all, will give them a ring :D

just thought may aswell give it a shot so i dont have to pay the extortionate BT line rental (i dont use the land line for anything other than sky and bb)
