I've been trying to set-up someones Sky broadband tonight and am having problems. The internet connection appears to work - I can ping websites and even access my own PC remotely (remote desktop) but if I try and use the browser it doesn't work. I've tried this on two PCs and a Laptop and all of them do the same thing - so I can pretty much rule out malware / spyware (I even tried it in safe mode). I've even tried accessing websites by IP and that doesn't work either.

The sky start page (skybroadband.com) appears to half load. If I view the source of the page as it's connecting I can see about 40 lines downloaded but nothing else.

I'm using the Sky branded DG834G. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm stumped.

Thanks.

Thanks.

You have rebooted the router, tried proxy settings, firewall e.t.c?

What package are they on , connect or base mid max. been a couple of big outages today and last night.

I've rebooted the router a couple of times - according to the status page on the router it's connected and the logs don't show anything unusual. I forgot to check for the Windows firewall but I disabled McAfee.

Dave- I'm not sure of their package, but they are synced at 6mb so I'd assume either Mid or Connect.

Do you happen to have a Sky service status link? I couldn't see one.

There isn't any service links, you could ask at the skyuser forum.

Google skyuser.
