Sky Broadband Upload Speed

Just need to know as im only getting around 330-350kbps(45kb/s) wheres my friend across town gets around 600kbps(70kb/s)? and was just wondering what other people on sky get and what i should be looking at?

Yeah probably a different package, my upload is about 700kbps on Sky Broadband Max.

Is he on a different exchange to you? Maybe one is LLU'd and the other is'nt.

nope both on the Bridgwater exchange

and no we're both on the same 8MB/40GB package

I got SkyBB MAX activated yesterday my upload speed is 75k/sec

Are those the figures from your routers connection page or simply what you are getting in uploading via FTP/Torrents etc?

thats what i'm actually getting, router reports them at 416kbps which is much lower then my friends 768kbps.

but just also found out his router is syncing at 7mb yet he is only getting 3 :confused:

if ** not on the "max" package i think it is a lower upload speed, i recently switched over to sky and went on the max package we get sync @ 768kbps and have seen stable 70-80kb/s from it

well thanks for the replies, seems that they just dont wanna give me the extra upload, which i really would do with.
