I am moving to an area with very poor terrestrial TV reception, so its Sky.

Has anyone experience of the TV/Broadband/Phone package?

Is the broadband reliable? How do costs compare?

I don't have the full package, but had Sky Broadband for a year until I moved house. The service was fine for me, got the mid package so £5 a month. Couldn't complain to be honest, but I guess with ADSL performance relies on your line quality and distance from your exchange.

Moved to Sky 8 months ago - never had any problems. Far better than previous ISPs and much cheaper. £5 a month is a bargin! Plenty of threads about this topic already - but basically its good news.

Just had my Sky installed a week ago and my dsl just went active today. Been no problems so far, dsl seems stable despite me being miles away from my exchange.

I'm using the Mid package (£5 a month :)) and my pings are usually 50-80 on all games etc. It does get fairly sluggish if more than one comp is on the network i must say :(

ive been on sky and having problems with ping but how can you tell how far you are form the exchange
other than that the regular internet is fine no problems but i often have to reboot the router as i end up with downstream of 700 ish also is there any way of improving my ping on games ie a better wireless router, bearing in mind that its wired up to the computer as i have the standard netgear one that came with the original sky package

I'm using the defaults that came with the package (the netgear) so im not 100% sure how you could improve it, the best i can think of is to get a faster package.

Yeah, all those people wondering about the ping, you need to speed to Sky about it and they will sort it out.

I've been on sky a week now, pretty happy with it.

Get this pretty much all day and night.
