Anyone have any issues with these ? i hear you have to use the router they provide you with is this true? is it wireless? thanks in advance.

I have sky, i used to have a Netgear N type. I could not use it with sky tho :'( i have to use a sky netgear router. It is wireless tho, not a bad signel but not as good as my old Netgear Router.

under sky's terms and conditions you have to use their netgear router with their own firmware

I use a linksys router there is an unofficial forum that tells you how to get your username and password of the router so you can use a different router

not sure if I can post the link on there but a quick google search brings it up

My brother is with Sky and he had to hack his Sky router to get the username and password from it but the connection keeps dropping out using the new (and old) router.

Does using a different router allow you to use P2P software or is the throttling done at Sky's end?
