Sky+ broke?

Hi guys.

I got sky + on monday and its been working fine until today. Normally the sky box powers down when turned off - but the hard drive is still spinning and when I try to record to the box it says "please wait" but nothing happens?

Also when I try to rewind it says "please wait" again.

It worked fine through the T.V but its not working having sky just through my PC with no TV.

Whats going on?

Edit: N/M It just started working lol hmm strange. Does sky+ have down time like this often?

Now its turned itself off oh this is just great.

could be a faulty box, im on my 3rd one in less than 12 months, first ones hdd dies and the second one kept missing bits of sound on recordings....

have u tried pulling the power cable out of the back, leave it out for 2 mins, put it back in, leave it for 3 or 4 minutes and then turn it on by pressing the sky button, have done this quite a few times and has worked well.

Also maybe do a full hardware reset. See the last post of the sticky for info on how.

Do you have signal lock on both inputs. Go to services and the signal level screen is in there.

If you don't have a lock on Input2 then it's probably a knackered HDD but the reset/format procedure may cure it
