My brothers computer has died on him and is installing his internet on another computer.

Problem is he has lost his install disk for the router.

This asks him for a password when he connects.

He hasnt changed it, so it will be the default one.

Is this something like: Username; SKY password: serial number or something.

Can it be installed without the disk?

thanks

Thanks.

I thought the username was something like that.

He thinks its something to do with inputting the serial number on the router?

Does he have to reset it or something?

Why?

The router's configured with an inbuilt username/password for the ADSL2. Plugging it into a phone line will result in it connecting to the internet.

DHCP is setup by default - just plug in a PC, and the internet works. The only thing worth configuring on the router setup page is a WPA key for the wireless.

Well as I said in the original message, it asks him for a username and password.
