I'm going to purchase a Freesat box (with recording capability) as I hardly ever watch live TV and don't need all the channels that Sky charge for, however I do make use of the sports channels.

Ideally I'd like to be able to integrate the sky sports channels onto the freesat box to save me having to flick between inputs, but i dont see how.

IMO, the best way would be to purchase a pass on nowtv giving me access to those channels, and then grabbing a firestick/chromecast and installing the nowtv app so i can watch sky sports live for example.

Is this the best approach? Or is there a more streamline way of doing this that I'm overlooking?

Do you not own a SmartTV?

The three in my house all have option to install NowTV which means no need for extra hardware.

never had a problem with my CX and the NowTV app - seems to have been a problem earlier in lockdown, but most people arent seeing it anymore

(doesnt help that NowTV always denied the issue mind)

I cancelled sky a few weeks ago and within a week they'd got to me with a better offer than what I was paying. If I took just tv + sports + hd it would've worked out less than the Now TV pass for just sports btw.
