an old, and unused satellite dish has been blown off of my house, and landed on my neighbours car windscreen.
they want me to pay for it to be replaced. now, there is a pretty big crack down the windscreen, so i aint gonna be able to get that repaired. phoned up my contents insurance provider and they said that wouldnt be covered, perhaps try the building insurance. so i told my landlord to contact them to try and find out what to do.
the thing is though, should my neighbour not be phoning his car insurance provider, and claiming under the third party bit? the way i understand it, he should phone the car insurance company and tell them about this incident. the car insurance company will then ask for the house insurance details. then the insurance companies will do their stuff.
any help in this matter is greatly apreciated.
thanks.
