Sky - false speed shown in router menu

Just to make sure, you're not getting bits and bytes mixed up right?

Also, if you're still on ADSL, I found that to be easily affected to congestion during busy hours, I would suggest doing another speed test past midnight.

No, apart from my confusing initial post, there's definately a massive discrepancy in the speed the modem is reporting and the speed that is actually coming through.

It's not a poor wifi signal issue, as proven by the 234Mbps the pc is getting over ac.

LLU according to Samknows.

Until about a week ago it was at approx 8mb via speedtest.

Now it's barely 1mb, however the router has been reporting between 7-10 the entire time. Just the throughput that seems to have collapsed.

Maybe Sky's DLM has kicked in, I'd chat to their support people and get it reset.

Is FTTC not available to you?

The exchange is enabled but this road is connected.

Similar story to our other property that is direct to exchange, despite the local cabinet being fibre enabled. Load of crap really!

DLM is my thought also, however why would the router still state that the downstream is 7-10mb, if it's not?

If the BT Wholesale checker returns a value for an IP profile then you aren't LLU. At which point the issue could just be that the non-LLU product seems to be more congested than the LLU platform, or it's an IP profile issue that support will need to clear.
