I'm struggling to get the Netgear D7000 to work on Sky Fiber.
Can anyone help please?
Sky are no help whatsoever. According to them, they don't have any settings for 3rd party routers on Fiber? Really!?!?
I've extracted the username and password from the SR102 black sky router, but still nothing.
Any ideas please?

It's specifically against the T's & C's for Sky Fibre to use non Sky supplied equipment so is it any wonder they won't supply you the details?

Sorted.....

Really?!?! Do you think that kinda response is necessary?
I know about the T & C's, that was NOT what I was asking. Furthermore if you work for sky, then might I suggest that you design and implement more basic requirements like gigabit connections on your devices and less concern about what device connects to your network!

On a lighter note........ I got it working. As it supports Option 61, it was a simple case of extracting that info from sky's utter excuse for a router and placing that and a few other details in and it worked.
I now have a decent router that can be accessed all over the house, unlike before when, with sky's, I had to be sat on the damn thing. Oh Misschief - that was sarcasm.

We now have a Router that has Gigabit, (which 95% of Sky's users have no need for) and dual band. And Wireless ac as well.

95%!...Is that from a customer satification survey? Otherwise how do you know?

No. From speaking to 100+ customers a week, of which the vast majority, and I mean 90%+, don't even know what gigabit is, never mind actually using their Ethernet ports. Most of the people I speak to don't even use Ethernet, it's all wireless.

That I can very easy believe. Normal people will be using kit that's still set up the way the engineer left it, complete with Admin/Admin password.
