Sky Fibre Optic

Why would you want to pay £32.15 P/M for Sky Fibre when its 40mb ? when B.T Infinity is now 80mb (76mb ) for £26 P/M if you already have a B.T Line Rental .Only thing i can think of is the p2p ..any views ?

Hardly a fair comparison if you include line rental in Sky's price but not in BT's price :D

Sky £32.25

BT £40.60

when ? any info available as i,ve looked and can,t find any ?

I'm taking a guess.....

You really think Sky will stay with just 40mb? While Virgin etc are pushing 100+?

Personally I would go with Sky over BT any day of the week, Their LLU product has been amazing for me.

I'd say they're doing the sensible thing and limiting the affect on their network and see how things pan out. If all goes well we'll see an upgrade to 80 Mb/s sooner rather than later.

Sky's unshaped & unlimited 40Mb/s service vs Virgin's 100Mb/s with STM and traffic shaping? ;)

Sky all the way for me after a shocking period with Virgin. This connection is rock solid can't say the same for when I had Virgin, Although when it was Telewest/Blueyonder it was great!

Most people look at headline speed though rather than the other details.

But if people really think Sky will just stick with 40Mb/s I'd say they are pretty much wrong, Sky will introduce the higher speeds at some point. I would say Foghorn Leghorn is about right with what he says.
