Anyone know what model it is as I've Currently got the white sky router so is the adsl one the same as the one sky will be sending out. And has anyone got a picture of the fibre router
Cheers
The SR102 has a built in VDSL modem I believe, it also doesn't support bridge mode? there will be people with a better idea than me in the networking section but have a look on the sky user forum as well, there are people on there that use different routers.
You can use your own router alongside an Openreach modem. So, if you have the new style Sky Router with the modem built in, you need to obtain the username/password from it, then put it back in it's box, purchase an ECI or HG612 (highly recommended) from eBay, and then also a router of your choice that can pass over the user/pass you obtained earlier. Most people (read the last few pages in particular) purchase the RT-56U / RT-66U / AC-66U routers from Asus, and load them with either Merlin or DD-WRT, both of which can pass over username/password.
