So i have had my Asus DSL-AC68U for over a month now and it has been a bit rocky with all sorts of errors and what not. I rang sky last week as i felt my line was not performing as it should and i was getting loads of CRC errors up and down, After some persuading i managed to get a BT engineer to visit and he confirmed my line had faults, he then went away and returned after about an hour and said after more checks he felt my line was in such a bad way he had been to the exchange and put me on a new line. He then reset the line and done some further tests and said it looked ok now, since he went my line has been more stable and i have had no errors. I did hard reset my router as well so i am on default Sky Fibre set up which was done via the Asus set up wizard, i also have flased the latest beta firmware as linked by Babis3gb in anothe thread. Now before all the line change and router reset i was syncing around 33-34mbps down and 6-8mbps up with a 9-10 ping, now after the recent line change and router reset i am syncing around 26-27mbps down and 5-7mbps up with a 35-38 ping. So my question is why has this happened and is there a optimal way to set my DSL settings as to run with Sky Fibre if so what are they, below i will post my DSL settings and log. Thanx in advance for any help as it is much appreciated.

it should sort itself out after a week or so as the cabinet does the work with DLM, you connection is now interleaved. I have been told this by a few engineers that have visited when my line was causing issues, after a week sitting at 29mb down and 6mb up 40ms ping it reset at 4am and now at 34mb down and 8mb up 20ms ping. If you are unhappy ring sky and ask for a dlm reset but this means an engineer visit.

Yes i was hoping it will sort its self, do my settings look ok? Maybe will give it another week and if no change i will ring them, if it goes on fastpath does that mean DLM has finished.

Have you signed upto the upto 40mb service? your line attenuation is 15.4db so really your connection playing silly buggers. Do you use filters or a filtered faceplace like the BT vdsl mk2 or 3.

If you ring sky you must put your old router back on as they check your line stats with it, on the subject of DLM this never stops monitoring the line and can be triggered by reseting your router constantly or power cuts. You also have to factor in crosstalk which was part of my problem, someone on my street went live with fibre so my initial 40mb service went to 34mb & lower grrrr.

give this number a ring 03442410096, this is tier 2 support and is open from 08:30 to 20:00 and these are the people you need to chat to & not level 1 support. get proper line stats from your sr102 as if that is correct about your line attenuation then the cabinet has hammered you.
