Sky & Football Rights

It worries me that Setanta may charge for Pay per view games.

Its a complete joke that sky has "PREM PLUS",

I would gladly pay for JUST Manchester United matches, but all of them... even the Saturday 3pm kickoff games.

Oh well, for now I get the bus down to the uni bar to watch all the games.

I'm just glad football streaming is becoming more of a big thing (although our connection is 512k shared between 4, and wireless = impossible to stream)

Prem Plus is indeed a scam. Sky should be sued for it tbh as it destroys the whole packages agreement.

The European Commission (who are responsible for denying Sky rights to every premiership match) have really dropped the ball on this. They didn't like Sky having a monopoly on premiership football but what they've effectively done is create two monopolies. Customers (football fans and pubs) lose out as they now have to pay two subsciptions to see all matches. The EC has achieved the exact opposite of what they wanted.

Please don't tell me the EC have anything to do with this. The EC haven't done ONE good thing for several years.
