Hey guys,

I have 65 inch sky glass I know there is no app on the TV for plex.

I want to acess my media server on it what's the best way of doing this

Thanks

Does sky glass have access to do DLNA ?
I don't know, I was asking the question.

Internet search seems to suggest no.

I remember the old Now TV streaming boxes could be hacked to support Plex, but Sky closed it off.

I'm assuming that their Sky Glass TVs are similarly closed off. They want you to pay to watch movies not being able to stream your own.

Sky Glass is a closed ecosystem and Sky aren't about to make watching your own media easy, that's how they make money, so unless they are forced to, or they can make a revenue stream from it, they won't release a native app. That leaves running it on a different device, generally the lower end looks like either a Roku or FireTV, Roku is basic and closed, FTV - even the Pro 4K end - seems to have memory issues and requires more reboots than I would expect at this point, but much more open ecosystem, CEC is supported and that makes it 'easy' to integrate with one remote. AppleTV & Nvidia Shield are your higher end options, again CEC is your friend, I disliked Nvidia bringing adds to my home screen and messing about with replacement launchers is not what I signed up for, and the 1st/2nd gen remotes suck, so appleTV took over.
