As subject really. Had Sky+ put in last Friday and every now and again, and only for a second, the picture goes black and white.

This happens on recorded and live programs.

The box is an Amstrad (one of the newish 160GB models)

Does anyone else get this?

Mine does that too, i'm guessing this is with a Samsung LCD? I have yet to find why it does it.

I'm using mine with a JVC 28" Widescreen CRT. In a way I'm glad someone elses is doing it too!

Is yours the newer Amstrad box?

edit....It's been suggested to me on the skyuser forums that it could be a faulty scart cable.

I think all the Samsung R74 series do it on playback, mine doesn't do it with live stuff though. Mines the Thompson box, it's not the scart because mine did it with the bog standard scart then I changed to a more expensive gold plated Ixus scart and it still did it.

This is strange, mine has started doing it as well (Thomson box, R74 tv)... I had a feeling it was something to do with the signal - I was going to contact sky about it.

It happens on both playback and watching live tv.

My wifes parents Panasonic CRT does it too. But they are on freeview connected through scart. The TV was my old one and it never did it once when i had it. I presumed in was the freeview box. Now I think its the cabling.

Sky are currently investigating this problem mate, although if your still in warrenty, phone sky and have a word with them and book a service call.

Although most numpty's won't know its your tv conflicting with it, so I wouldn't let them know as they may not book one out ;) . Just ask the techie nicely not to get a Thompson.

But I booked some one out a techie the other day for the same fault and I knew about the problem, so depends who you get really.

Mines still doing this, its beginning to really cheese me off!

Using a 42in Sammy with Sky+, i have swapped plasma's, scarts/sockets, Sky+ boxes - no change.

Not sure who is at fault, Samsung or the Sky box
