The HDMI audio output of my Sky HD box was set to "NORMAL", and I thought now I have a nice new LG E7 I should set it to "DOLBY D" so the Sky box could pass it more advanced audio other than just stereo.
However, I then noticed when flicking between Sky channels (eg: 1 and 2 - BBC1 and BBC2 HD), I'd get a obvious quick electronic click/squeel.
Flicking the Sky HD's HDMI audio back to "Normal" stopped this.
Anyone able to clarify or replicate this? Looking around it seems other folks have encountered it with TVs and amps...
So either possibly the Sky Box isn't terminating/initiating the audio signals properly
OR, there's a problem with the LG firmware? Seems the former is far more likely?
